Geronimo(Gokhlayeh) The Chiricahua Apache size: 13.5in x 10.5 in Leader of some of the bloodiest, bitterest and most unremitting fighting ever waged by Indian against white. In the end it took 5,000 fully equipped, mounted white troops with 30 Heliograph stations to subdue his band of 38 Apaches(20 warriors, 18 women& children) Gokhlayeh was 57 years old at the time.
