beetle-killed pine wood, and feature the unique blue-grey and yellow-orange
streaks typical of trees affected by the mountain pine beetle. Each figure has
a distinct shape and composition, with some combining materials like plastic,
metal, and bone. The lighting casts shadows that enhance the composition’s
