Persimmon Blackbridge is a writer, sculptor, and trailblazing artist whose work confronts the realities of disability, mental health, queerness, and gender with courage and nuance. Her deeply personal and political practice has been shown across Canada, the U.S., Europe, Australia, and Hong Kong. She’s a recipient of the VIVA Award and the Emily Carr Distinguished Alumni Award.
Tangled Art + Disability is a leading disability arts organization, championing Deaf, Mad, and disability-identified artists across Canada. As we approach our 10th anniversary in the Tangled Art Gallery and our 25th year as an organization, this auction helps ensure we continue to grow, thrive, and elevate disability culture.
