The top piece forms the head and torso, but there are no arms or facial features. The bottom piece makes up the hips, legs, and feet, with the toes pointing downward. The legs are crossed seductively. The wood shows natural lines and small holes caused by the beetles.</p><p> </p><p>From the series: Beetlekill, 2021 beetle-killed wood, doll parts, junk metal

yellow-orange streaks typical of trees affected by the mountain pine beetle.
Each figure has a distinct shape and composition, with some combining materials
like plastic, metal, and bone. The lighting casts shadows that enhance the composition’s
dimensionality and evoke themes of decay, transformation, and resilience.</p><p class="MsoNormal"><br></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color: inherit; font-size: 1.5rem;">Important Auction Info</span></p><p data-start="1249" data-end="1580" style="margin-bottom: 1rem; max-width: 78%;"></p><ul data-start="1686" data-end="2188"><li data-start="1686" data-end="1750"><p data-start="1688" data-end="1750" style="max-width: 78%;"><span data-start="1688" data-end="1708" style="font-weight: 600;">Create a profile</span> on the auction platform to place a bid.</p></li><li data-start="1751" data-end="1885"><p data-start="1753" data-end="1885" style="max-width: 78%;"><span data-start="1753" data-end="1772" style="font-weight: 600;">Winning bidders</span> will receive both the artwork and a <span data-start="1809" data-end="1835" style="font-weight: 600;">charitable tax receipt</span> for any amount paid <span data-start="1856" data-end="1882" style="font-weight: 600;">above the starting bid</span>.</p></li><li data-start="1886" data-end="1976"><p data-start="1888" data-end="1976" style="max-width: 78%;">Artworks are <span data-start="1901" data-end="1914" style="font-weight: 600;">unmounted</span>.
