CharityAuctionsToday is powered by the generosity of supporters like you. A small tip helps keep their platform accessible to as many organizations like ours as possible. Thank you for making a difference!
PILA’s mission is to educate students about options available for them in the various legal fields where their actions can make an impact. We seek to encourage students to engage in activities and experiences that can help people and broaden their view of what public interest law is. We also pride ourselves on connecting students to opportunities for pro bono work and other opportunities that they may enjoy in the public interest realm.
Our Annual Silent Auction provides funding for our Public Interest Summer Stipend which allows students to pursue employment opportunities in the field of public interest law where they would otherwise be unpaid. Your contributions help students follow their dreams and make a difference with their work.
Students are able to thrive in public interest law with the support of peers, colleagues, and faculty members engaged in public interest advocacy and scholarship. The School of Law's commitment to students interested in pursuing a career in public interest law encompasses classroom teaching, clinical courses, externships and extracurricular activities. Student organizations like PILA are able to support students over the summer and keep them motivated to stay involved in public interest law. Students interested in learning more or joining PILA can do so by reaching out to PILA President, Stephanie Mahar.
Thank you for attending our Annual Silent Auction and supporting us in helping our students succeed in jumpstarting their careers in public interest law.

You're invited to attend our annual Public Interest Law Association (“PILA”) Silent Auction! Tickets are free and you can attend in person at the Blake Law Center on campus, or virtually from your phone, laptop, or other device from wherever you are. Silent auctions are a great way to get the best deals on all kinds of things from movie tickets to gift cards to bar prep packages. At a silent auction, you bid on items throughout the bidding period which for us will be from 10am-2pm. Be sure to keep checking back on the items you love because others may out bid you. Keep bidding throughout the bidding period and at the very end, the highest bidder wins the item for the amount that they bid last. For a tutorial on the bidding process, check out this short video guide on youtube: https://youtu.be/HQY4ZIEsXyY?si=OjgCW31m268x31fr |
