Isaac Murdoch Framed Print "Mooses"

This listing is for one (1) matted and framed print by Ojibwe artist Isaac Murdoch. The framed print measures 15 x 19 inches.

This hand made silk screen print is signed by the artist. This design is currently unavailable for ordering.

The second image provides detail of the design, but the print you are bidding on has a white background.

Isaac Murdoch says of the print:

"I grew up hunting moose. They even run by my house in the bush. I never shoot them unless I need the meat. Their populations are down so I will find other ways to feed myself. Just cuz I can shoot them doesn't mean that I can shoot them. Anishinabek have laws to follow. We owe the Moose Nation our utmost respect."

This print was donated by Isaac in support of Anishnabe-led Moose Research. The research is in support of extending the sport hunting moratorium on moose and the development of an Anishnabe-led Moose Management Plan to support the health and wellbeing of the moose in La Vérendrye Wildlife Park.
