Stephanie Jones is a New York-based writer, freelance music journalist and published poet. A features writer for DownBeat Magazine and Hot House Jazz Guide, she also contributes in-depth interviews to the award-winning JazzSpeaks blog for The Jazz Gallery. Stephanie's journalism challenges the critical perspective, focusing instead on asking questions, engaging in dialogue and expanding the conversation around music and culture. A Phi Beta Kappa, Stephanie studied English Literature at Wellesley College and earned her BFA from The City College of New York, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. She currently teaches Eyes of the Entrepreneurs at The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music.
