Camp Conrad Weiser Tile Mosaic

Camp Conrad Weiser Sessions 3:
This project came along with the same initial standards as Bynden Wood. This project started with a storm that blew through the camp, picking up our Zorbs and other equipment and starting to take them away. While everyone scrambled to recover what they could, the materials for the tile mosaic blew away and were never found. 
The campers rallied and used a piece of reclaimed cardboard and started over from scratch. They sketched out the guidelines (looking at a reference photo of a forest), cut their paper, and began gluing it down. It needed some patching up, but with some help at the end - it turned out to be a beautiful impressionistic piece. As you can see the results are distinctly different. The motion of the trees draws the eye down a woodland path, and the camper innovations of shape and material application produce the kind of interesting and unpredictable results a collaboration does best.
