ARTIST STATEMENT
Dave and I traveled to Tom's childhood home in upstate New York to spend the wekeend with his mother, one of my favorite people. We took pictures around the farm all weekend, but this one, taken in the middle of the night, outside in the summer with the crickets, is my favorite. Tom and Dave and I don't smoke or see one another as much as we used to. "I miss my beautiful friend," in addition to being a relatable statement, is also a line from the Jeff Buckley song "Morning Theft." I once broke up with someone because I knew I'd never feel for him what I felt for Jeff Buckley.
