Two-Night Stay at Mod West Ranch, a Midcentury Ranch Experience in the Greater Joshua Tree High Desert

The historic Mod West Ranch is nestled in the stunning boulder-strewn canyon of Gamma Gulch in Pioneertown, CA., is just minutes away from Joshua Tree National Park. The unique 5-acre property includes two primary structures that combine rustic ranch-style living with midcentury décor.

The historic homestead structure dates to 1946. The Cottage, the main living space of the property, was built in 1965. Newly refurnished in 2019, Mod West Ranch is owned by a Palm Springs couple who spent a year transforming this historic property into a magical “midcentury modern meets rustic ranch” setting.

Guests will experience luxury rustic accommodations with midcentury décor, including multiple vintage Malm fireplaces, retro furniture, a stunning outdoor fire pit and spa for night sky viewing, a gaming pavilion with darts, giant Jenga, corn hole and ping pong table, plus access to unlimited hiking on the surrounding Bureau of Land Management land that adjoins the property. Guests will receive surprise amenities, courtesy of Homestead Modern, including a scavenger hunt for goodies.

Restrictions/Limitations: Two-night Stay, mid-week Sunday–Thursday. There is a maximum of 6 people with no extra visitors and no additional overnight guests. Check-in time is 3 p.m. and check-out is at 11 a.m. This is a very in demand property, so please plan well in advance to request a reservation based on availability at time of booking. This is a pet and smoking free property. Redeemable for 1 year from date of auction.
