Auction begins on Thursday, October 11th at noon and ends Thursday, October 18th at noon.
Bid to win one of 300 pieces of the actual 2012 NCAA Final Four floor where the University of Kentucky captured their 8th NCAA Championship. 100% of the proceeds go toward the fight against pediatric cancer throughout the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Each 18" x 12" piece is numbered and signed by Coach John Calipari. Includes a certificate of authenticity and 8" x 10" photo of the entire Final Four floor for reference.
The highest 300 bids will win the limited number of pieces.
Once the auction starts, we will notify you automatically via email if your bid is no longer in the top 300. You'll be able to increase your bid at any time, if you choose, until the auction ends. The top 300 bidders as of 12:00 p.m. on October 18 will get one of these unique pieces. If you enter an amount that is not high enough to qualify you as a top 300 bidder, a message will pop up telling you your bid is not high enough.
Each piece is slightly different from the item shown in the photo due to variations of the actual floor.
This charity auction is made possible by Northwestern Mutual - Official Corporate Partner of the NCAA.
Northwestern Mutual has authorized production of a total of 1,000 12" x 18" autographed pieces of the 2012 Championship floor, 300 of which are being made available to the public in this online auction. Of the remaining pieces, Northwestern Mutual is donating a portion to The Calipari Foundation and retaining a portion for use with other philanthropic projects.
This is a charity auction for the benefit of Kosair Children's Hospital and Kentucky Children's Hospital, both of which are tax-exempt charities (the "Charities"). You have acknowledged visiting the auction website, www.charityauctionstoday.com, which lists the item to be auctioned.
By virtue of your bid, if you are the successful bidder, you state that you intend to and will make a charitable payment (the winning bid) in an amount that such payment exceeds the fair market value of the item on which you successfully bid. The Charities have estimated in good faith the fair market value of each auction item to be $400 with the description of the specific item.
Please be advised that the amount of the contribution that is deductible for federal income tax purposes is limited to the excess of the amount of the winning bid (as evidenced by your credit card receipt) over the value of the good faith estimate of the fair market value of the item won in the auction.
The Charities do not provide any tax advice and encourage you to please consult with a tax professional for advice on whether you are eligible for a tax deduction with respect to your purchase. Thank you for your support.
