Join us to celebrate queer and trans joy and support your local LGBTQIA+ community! The Salus Center (Lansing’s LGBTQIA+ community center) and the Gender Affirmation Project will be hosting an artistic celebration of Queer and Trans Joy on October 7th at the Hannah Community Center (819 Abbot Road, East Lansing, MI)! This joyous celebration of the beauty of our Lansing LGBTQIA+ community will include a variety of performances, an art show, and a silent auction. This event is a fundraiser to help support the ongoing work of our nonprofit programs and ensure greater access to resources in the local LGBTQIA+ community. This online silent auction includes the art work that will be displayed at the event and a few generous donations from local businesses and organizations. The bidding will end at 5:00 EST on October 7th!
We do have the option to ship the purchases, as long as you are willing to pay for the shipping costs, so don't let location stop you. Please also consider paying the fee for our use of this virtual platform for the silent auction so that more of your donation can go directly to the causes. Your donation will also be tax deductible as it will be going to nonprofit organizations.
The Gender Affirmation Project is a collaboration between Trans-ilience, the Allen Neighborhood Center, and the MSU Triangle Bar Association. It provides logistical and financial support for trans and nonbinary people’s legal name/gender marker changes. Learn more at trans-ilience.com/gap
