Duy Võ là một kiến ​​trúc sư và là một tác giả vẽ tranh minh hoạ với tình yêu ẩm thực vô cùng to lớn. Lúc nhỏ, Duy đã biến những bức tường trong ngôi nhà thời thơ ấu của mình thành tác phẩm hội hoạ đầu tay với những bức vẽ Dragon Ball và Doraemon nguệch ngoạc. Sau này, anh lại trở về với niềm yêu thích và khởi đầu với những bức vẽ ngay trên bàn làm việc tại nhà. Theo lời động viên của người bạn thân - người vợ, anh đã quyết định đưa tài năng và những bức vẽ của mình lên mạng và đã nhận được sự yêu thích của nhiều người.

Trong chương trình Vòng Tay Nước Mỹ 9 năm nay, anh Duy Võ là một trong năm gương mặt được đề cử cho giải thưởng "Nhân vật Truyền cảm hứng" cùng với Đùm Bọc (hạng mục "Dự án Truyền cảm hứng"), một trong những dự án cộng đồng mà anh và vợ đã đồng sáng lập nhằm hướng đến các cộng đồng cần được giúp đỡ và đặt biệt là hỗ trợ Việt Nam trong giai đoạn khó khăn do ảnh hưởng của Covid-19.

About the Artist:

Duy Vo is an illustrator by night, an architectural designer by day and a food lover all the time. Growing up, Duy ruined many walls in his childhood home with random Dragon Ball and Doraemon doodles. More recently, he started doodling on his home office desk. At the suggestion of his brilliant wife, he has decided to take his talent and doodles to the internet.

For this event, Duy Vo has been nominated for the "Aspiring Individual of the Year" award alongside with his charitable project "Đùm Bọc," which is also on the list of nominations for "Aspiring Project of the Year." This project, in his own terms, was "initially conceived as a fundraiser and is a collective founded by Duy Võ & Thảo Bùi [his wife] and powered by Vietnamese creatives and makers in the diaspora to provide support to communities in need."
