Explore all the engaging animals and stunning exhibits that showcase the biologically diverse marine environment of the Monterey Bay—and beyond.

The Open Sea Exhibit best exemplifies how special the massive Monterey Bay Aquarium is. Sea turtles, stingrays, sharks, jellyfish and schools of fish have thousands of gallons of water to explore while visitors watch in awe. With 45 interactive exhibits featuring reptiles, octopi, birds, fish and invertebrates, as well as a variety of tours (some of which allow guests to feed some of the sea life), there is no shortage of things to see and do for the young and old at the aquarium.

Then head over to Pacific Grove and enjoy a meal at Peppers Mexicali Resturant.

A Monterey Bay Mexican Favorite: Peppers Mexicali Cafe in
Pacific Grove

Peppers MexiCali Cafe is one of Pacific Grove's most unpretentious piquant eateries.

Serving fabulous fare since 1986, a recent visit demonstrated that the wait staff is friendly and knowledgeable. In fact, the server was nearly intuitive in anticipating our dining needs and desires, such as the timing of the fresh cup of coffee - and our Guacamole, ordered as an appetizer for our late lunch: the side order portion was, indeed, plenty for two people....

Although the Monterey Bay area is so replete with taquerias that Santa Cruz has even been dubbed Santaqueria Cruz - truly fresh creative Mexican cuisine is always a treat to find.

Peppers' website defines their food as “Latin American,” yet it was the hint of Caribbean influence in the dishes that seemed to transport us to another world.

In particular, the Mahi Mahi Yucatan was outstanding. The fresh fish had a melt-in-your-mouth texture, likely from the citrus marinade that includes annatto, peppers, cilantro, chilies and tomatoes. For this type of delectable dish, the tortillas are imperative to savor the exquisite sauce.

We have 2 tickets to Monterey Bay Aquarium and a $50 Gift Card to Peppers Mexicali Resturant in Pacific Grove.
