Domaine du Caillou (aka Domaine Clos du Caillou) bears the appellation Chateuneuf-du-Pape, coming from the southern Rhone area. The vineyard produces wines in the traditional cépage of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre grapes. Robert Parker characterized Claude Pouizin’s wine as “Immensely seductive, fragrant, velvety-textured, full-bodied wines with excellent color and layers of luscious fruit.” Vintage review from Wine Spectator 97 points/100 and 98 points from Robert Parker in Wine Advocate.
