Bynden Wood Water Color

Bynden Wood Session 4:
The initial linework of this piece is based on a photograph taken at a remote, hidden, beach that was reachable only by kayak in Delaware. A tree rested at the shoreline, with the branches and roots looking almost indistinguishable from one another. The subject was chosen with interest in seeing how the already abstract subject would be rendered by our Bynden Wood campers. Ron illustrated the linework for this piece in a flurry with a big fat Sharpie, while Camp Conrad Weiser campers busily created their own artwork all around him. Then it was handed off to Bynden Wood, to take on a new life as their campers looked at the same reference photo and made their watercolor choices.
