DELTA - Proceeds Donated to The Global BrightLight Foundation
Artist and Hawaiian surfer Danielle Zirk has brought the Slightly Stoopid tune "One Bright Day" to life with these beautiful paintings. They are featured in the official lyric video for that track, and are available for purchase only through this auction. The highest bid will be donated to The Global BrightLight Foundation, providing practical, affordable solar energy solutions to rural communities that currently lack access to electricity.
From the artist:
"This is a depiction of a water Delta. A water delta is a landform that forms from deposition of sediment carried by a river as the flow leaves its mouth and enters slower-moving or standing water. This occurs where a river enters an ocean, sea, estuary, lake, reservoir, or (more rarely) another river that cannot transport away the supplied sediment. Many of the Hawaiians traveled by water, rivers, and made by deltas. This painting had a man expressing his gratitude for the delta process, in self confidence, and growth as he in more in tune with his land. Many of the Hawaiians hold their land sacred and traditionally give offerings of gratitude."
36 x 48 acrylic on canvas.
