Stranahan House is the oldest and most historically significant structure in all of Broward County, Florida. Built in 1901 long before the incorporation of the City of Fort Lauderdale, the Historic Stranahan House Museum remains as an important historic landmark telling the story of the birth of our community through the lives of two extraordinary people and the homestead they created. It continues to serve as an enduring legacy for historic preservation, civic engagement, and education.
