The auction items were donated by Precision Pilates and True North Ale Company of Ipswich, Massachusetts in support of of their middle-school community member Talia Duff and her family. Talia has Charcot-Marie-Tooth neuropathy type 4J (CMT4J), a rare genetic disease that weakens the muscles. All proceeds from the auction will go to “Cure CMT4J” to develop gene therapy and administer it in a human clinical trial.
