Nancy Steinmeyer has been a professional artist for over 40 years, working full time on her art for over 30 years. The subject matter of her work ranges from: embarrassing moments, environmental issues, terror attacks on 9/11 and portraits honoring our pets. Nancy works with various media and methods include drawing, 3-D paintings, mixed media constructions, murals and paper sculptures. She participated in the "Cool Globes" public Art project, "Hot Ideas for a Cooler Planet." Her work is included in the book of the same name written by Wendy Abrams. Her globe, "Get Involved" was selected to show along the lakefront in Chicago. After the initial exhibit Nancy's globe was selected to travel to major cities in other countries, including: Amsterdam, Netherlands, Geneva, Switzerland, Copenhagen, Denmark, to name a few. It is still traveling. Nancy has shown her work all over the country including the Willis Tower, Chicago, IL, West Bend Art Museum, West Bend, WI and Charleston Heights Arts Center Gallery, Las Vegas, NV. Her work can be found in local public locations, Woodstock Eye Care and Woodstock Public Library, both in Woodstock; Main Stay Therapeutic Farm, Richmond; and the office of Sue Dobbe and Assoc., Crystal Lake.
