2 bottles of Ridge Geyersville Red Wine, 1992 & 2012

RIDGE WINES
Two bottles of wines from Ridge’s Sonoma, Geyserville Vineyard. These wines have been kept in a temperature controlled wine cave. Although the 1992 bottle may be a bit passed it’s peak, it should still be an excellent wine to accompany food. 

1992 Geyserville: 13.9% Alcohol
65% Zinfandel, 20% Carignan, 15% Petite Sirah

Wine Maker’s comment: Sonoma’s climate and the gravelly soils of the Geyserville Vineyard together contribute a definition and elegance not often associated with zinfandel.

2012 Geyserville: 14.4% Alcohol
71% Zinfandel, 19% Carignane, 7% Petite Sirah, 3% Other

Wine Maker’s Comment: A dry winter, mild spring and warm summer at first advanced ripening. Heavy autumn fogs slowed the progress. This superb vintage will be most enjoyable over the next ten to fifteen years.
