Mysteries of the Nature Coast by Judeii Karrington (5x7)

Mysteries of the Nature Coast can be seen at McGhee & Mason Law Firm on S Main Street

judeiiK (Judy Roy Kerrigan) is from the Appalachian region of Kentucky, raised in the 1950’s she has had a lifelong interest in art but without the availability of any formal art education. Her love of nature was instilled while on walks in the woods on the family farm near Dunnville KY, with her Grandmother and her Father hunting for “ginseng and dry land fish”.

She moved to Florida in 1977 and immediately fell in love with the state specializing in wildlife paintings from manatees to mermaids. Her canvases are found in nature, reclaimed, such as driftwood from the beach, red cedar, oak, or cypress that has lain in a swamp for a long time. There is always something compelling about painting a memory that touches a person’s heart or brings a smile to their face but it is even more special when the canvas you use is a piece of nature and the “canvas” itself is an original piece of art. Each piece of art is an original, painted in acrylic, and sealed on both sides. She also creates custom paintings and portraits on canvas along with prints, and note cards. judeiiK has won many awards over the years starting when she was in 4th grade and her teachers entered her art in the county fair to the 2019 Inverness Fine Arts Festival The Award of Distinction.

“I hope my art brings a longing for the peace and tranquillity found in nature and a smile to your heart.”
