2007 Carmin from Danenberger Family Vineyards
This is the bottle that launced the epic winery into the hearts of wine lovers. This is a 750ml bottle of 2007 Carmin. It is a 100% Cabernet Franc by winemaker Susan Sullivan Danenberger at Danenberger Family Vineyards. It is still amazing and sublime. It is truly a work of art and has aged well. Susan believes it tastes better than it did when she sold it at the winery in 2013. (A bottle was recently opened by Susan and shared with her employees).
It is a rare bottle and one of only two left in the winemaker's cellar.
Cabernet Franc brings peppery end notes and some green tea. This one concentrates on the cacao and black cherry flavor, as some people are put off by the tea flavors. I love the green bell pepper flavors, which are a hallmark of the grape. It is my favorite varietal, and I plan to continue striving for new flavor profiles. Full body
