Take a deep dive underground with a candlelight walking tour of the famous Basilica of St. Patrick’s Old Cathedral in NOLI (North of Little Italy). See the catacombs up close and personal and say "hey" to some of the most famous residents such as John Pierpont Morgan Sr, founder of JP Morgan Bank! Even for the dead, pricing below ground is as expensive as above, with vaults going for a "measly" $12 million – but don’t worry, up to 12 family or friends can be accommodated in a catacomb!
You may need a stiff drink after that tour so hop on over to the famed Dead Rabbit Irish pub for a quick bite and a pint. Don’t forget to try the Deviled Eggs with lobster or their signature “Dead Rabbit Burger.”
Ready for more? Grab a cab and head up the East side to one of the most famous spots in Manhattan, the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The Murder at the MET scavenger hunt is offered on select Saturdays.
To finish the night like any other real NYC detective, head to Death & Co, winner of the 2019 James Beard Foundation “Cocktail Codex.” Bowties and suspenders will take you back to the yesteryear of prohibition where these mixologists will handcraft you a one-of-a-kind cocktail. Sit back and relax while sipping on a French 76, Blood Moon or a straight glass of well-aged bourbon.
