Bottle of 2014 Carmin by Danenberger Family Vineyards

This is a 750ml bottle of 2014 Carmin by Danenberger Family Vineyards. It is 100% estate grown Cabernet Franc by winemaker Susan Sullivan Danenberger. It is one of three bottles that she has saved in her private cellar.  It is no longer available for sale at the winery.

This vintage of Cabernet Franc was exciting to work with: coming in from the vineyard at 26 Brix, and full of black fruit in the profile. Aging 16 months in French oak lends a roundness of mouthfeel, a showcase of perfumed, concentrated black cherry, bramble and berry that shines through. It's impeccably structured, with a long tannic finish. Nose: Black plums, vanilla, oak, black currants, violets and mineral. Pair: Filet Mignon, Tuna, pizza, goat cheese, berries
