  1. Wisconsin River Multi-Species Trip – The Lower Wisconsin river offers some of the state’s most diverse and exciting fishing. During a day trip it isn’t uncommon to catch 10-12 species of fish. In fact, the river is home to more than 160 different species of fish in total. We commonly target Smallmouth Bass, Walleyes, Sauger, Northern Pike, Muskie, Catfish and Sturgeon. Water levels do dictate when it is safe to fish on the river so being flexible with dates would be greatly appreciated to have an enjoyable experience. Hard to beat a good top water smallmouth bite! Fishing techniques normally include casting shorelines with crankbaits or soft plastics, trolling and bottom fishing. Fishing takes place from the Prairie Du Sac Dam downstream to Arena.

  1. Madison Chain of lakes – Recommended Fall or Spring/Early summer trip. Another fantastic multi-species trip. I target Lakes Mendota and Monona for the most part. Great panfish and early summer bass action. Catching multiple 18-22 inch largemouth bass isn’t uncommon the first part of June on Lake Monona. Walleyes, Pike and Smallmouth bass are the traditional targets on Lake Mendota. Fishing techniques normally consist of casting shorelines and weed lines with crankbaits or inline spinners. Slip Bobber on the outside of weed edges and drop offs, and jigging mid-lake humps and points.

  1. Driftless Area Trout Fishing Experience – My Personal favorite!!! Spin fishing or Fly fishing the best kept secret in the trout fishing world. Southwestern Wisconsin is the Mecca of Driftless trout fishing, with more than 13,000 miles of designated trout streams and excellent public access. The Driftless Area is truly a natural treasure offering some of the best spring creek fishing in the world. It isn’t uncommon to have 50+ fish days. We target Brown, Brook and Rainbow trout with the occasional Tiger Trout caught. Fishing will take place in Grant, Crawford, Vernon or Richland Counties. I will provide all transportation around the area and we normally will fish 2-3 streams per day. If you enjoy fishing and have never tried this, I highly recommend this trip! Average trout size is in the 10-16 inch range with several fish in the 18-25 inch range caught each year. Waders recommend for early season trips and not included in the package.
