This is a scene taken from an actual photo from my vacation to Spanish Wells, Bahamas a few months ago. It was taken from the back yard of the vacation home we rented. The beach was so close, all you had to do was step outside and walk a few steps to the sand. The skies and water were so colorful and clear, it was truly a relaxing place to be at and a real escape from everyday life. It was a place I thought only existed in travel ads or your own mind! The scene was challenging to paint in acrylic due to all the blending that I had to do, but I felt that I captured the whole essence of the beach very well. I feel relaxed just looking at it!
