Silversides Mural defines my perspective of the vibrant Cayman reefs, brimming with wildlife and a virtual kaleidoscope of luminous hues and flowing motion.

Cathy Church is an icon. She has been documenting the oceans for over 40 years. A Divers Hall of Fame inductee, Cathy Church was an editor for Skin Diver Magazine for over 15 years and literally wrote the book on underwater photography. 
Her excellence in photography has earned her induction into these prestigious groups: the International Scuba Diving Hall of Fame, the Explorers’ Club, Woman Divers Hall of Fame. Cathy has also garnered numerous accolades including a NOGI award from the Underwater Academy of Arts and Sciences, DEMA’s “Reaching Out” award, and was a charter recipient of the Platinum Pro 5000 Card. 
Publications of her work include the coffee-table book My Underwater Photo Journey in 2004 and her latest collection, Imagination, was released in 2009. 
A marine biologist and photographer, Cathy is one of the world’s foremost teachers and authors on underwater photography. She has coauthored hundreds of magazine articles and four books on underwater photo techniques, and offered seminars throughout the USA. She is well known for many styles of photography ranging from documentary and editorial to gallery art. She keeps up with all the most recent developments in photography so that she can teach her students the most up-to-date techniques. Cathy still offers seminars and teaches regularly at her underwater photo centre in Grand Cayman.
