ACT Katwe is a 501c3 nonprofit supporting over 500 children in Katwe, an underserved community in Kampala, Uganda. We use performance art to teach our athletes the importance of teamwork, trust, patience and consistency. These skills advance them as young leaders and empower them with the confidence to reject negative influences within the community.

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic we have been a backbone of the community, providing masks, food, drinking water and hand washing stations. With schools shut down for two years, our training ground has served as a safe space for the children of Katwe.
