My grandparents came from Yugoslavia when they were young. They were immigrants that came to our country to start a new life and to make something of themselves. Like so many others, they were courageous and worked hard to become American citizens. I wanted to participate in this wonderful cause as a show of my support to these brave individuals that started fresh in the United States. Our country is an incredible melting pot of cultures, and I am so thankful for the diversity that these men and women have brought with them. I’m honored to be a part of the Build Hope, Not Walls project.
