Original Hot Glass Vessel by Gabriel Bloodworth
This piece, designed and blown by Gabriel Bloodworth, is part of his "Decay" series. It was blown from several gathers or layers of glass, cooled and it's surface faceted by diamond engraving wheels, then reheated and fire-polished. It is approximately 18 inches tall.
Gabriel Bloodworth has been blowing glass for more than half of his thirty-four years. He began his career in a small shop in Taney County, then worked with the Corning Museum of Glass in their Hot Glass Roadshow and Blow Glass at Sea program. Gabriel is currently artist and co-owner at Springfield Hot Glass Studio.
His work is defined by its saturated colors, classic forms and textured surfaces.
