"Letter from Iraq" by Marcy Hermansader
Marcy Hermansader, generous donor and longtime friend of BMC (whose artwork has graced the BMC Library), has contributed Letter from Iraq.
Mixed media collage with graphite drawing on vellum, 2006, 13.75 x 22.5", mounted on 1/4" archival corrugated board. This is from a series of 12 works that Hermansader created in response to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. The series was exhibited at Fleisher/Ollman Gallery in Philadelphia. The work can be hung as it is, unframed, though a frame would add protection. The artist can provide suggestions about framing or hanging unframed.
