An internationally-known architectural treasure and National Historic Landmark, Glessner House was designed by noted American architect Henry Hobson Richardson for John and Frances Glessner. It was completed in 1887. A radical departure from traditional Victorian architecture, the structure served as an inspiration to architects such as Louis Sullivan, Mies van der Rohe, and the young Frank Lloyd Wright, and helped redefine domestic architecture of its era.

A Walk Through Time is a very special tour offering a rare opportunity to visit the interiors of several landmarked homes in the Prairie Avenue Historic District. You’ll see homes built during Chicago’s Gilded Age featuring beautifully carved wood moldings, leaded glass windows, fireplaces in elaborate tile, mosaic, and marble, and much more!

Part of the Arcadia Press Images of America series, "Chicago's Historic Prairie Avenue" contains over 200 photographs documenting the history of Chicago's Prairie Avenue neighborhood, including its glory days as the city's most exclusive residential enclave.

Package, including the book and certificates to redeem the tours, will be shipped to the winner by TCP.
