Salmon Skins (PRO)

‘Salmon Skins’ was created to honour our local North Pacific sockeye salmon. The sockeye live in our surrounding oceans and spawn in our rivers. We are all accountable for what happens to these creatures. If our salmon numbers get too depleted so will so many other species that are dependent on them. Chairis C. Katona is a visual artist living in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. Early on in Chairis’s career she was self taught and later studied at The Vancouver Island School of Art. Her extensive world travels inform her art. Her love for the outdoors and adventure drive her passion to create. Her work has been collected around the world.
