Holly Goeckler: Chiyogami Hairpiece

Lightweight, colorful, elegant hairpiece inspired by traditional Japanese paper stencils known as Ise katagami. Intricate patterns are designed, refined and adapted for digital die cutting. Once cut, the stencil-like patterns are laminated, folded and connected with sterling silver findings and cubic zirconia. The materials are post-consumer 100% cotton artist paper, 24 karat gold leaf, sterling, 14/20 gold-filled findings with cubic zirzonia, lacquered bamboo.
