Dimensions: 5’ x 8’

Fiber: Wool, silk and hemp on a cotton foundation

Design: More than twenty-six colors were used to create this rug's very organic flow of textures and shading.

Care: Professional cleaning

Designer's inspiration: Elizabeth was inspired by the surprising beauty to be seen inside the common oyster shell found in the waters of Martha’s Vineyard. She wanted this design to evoke the shell's gently sloping contours and subtle color variations.

About: After spending seven years honing her design skills in the interiors division of renowned Hutker Architects, Stiving-Nichols launched her own firm, Martha’s Vineyard Interior Design, in 2008. She is also the owner of Bespoke Abode, a home furnishings boutique on Martha’s Vineyard.
